Amazônia em Chamas 6: Desmatamento e fogo nas terras indígenas da Amazônia

Esta nota técnica olha com atenção sobre a dinâmica de desmatamento e fogo nas terras indígenas (TIs) da Amazônia entre 2016 e 2020, para compreender como o pico recente nesses índices se reflete nessas áreas, e como atividades ilegais, como a grilagem, alimentam esse quadro.

Os resultados podem servir de subsídio para nutrir ações de órgãos governamentais que garantam a integridade desses territórios tradicionais e o respeito aos mais de 430 mil indígenas da região, que hoje enfrentam as consequências negativas de ações provocadas por terceiros em suas comunidades.
