O grave cenário de contaminação, mortalidade e letalidade que se revela entre os povos indígenas da Amazônia hoje é o prenúncio de uma situação que pode ser catastrófica se uma estratégia urgente e adequada para o tratamento destas populações não for colocada em prática na região. Nesse sentido, esta nota técnica visa a apresentar mais dados que auxiliam a dimensionar o problema, a fim de contribuir para que soluções sejam construídas de forma rápida e eficiente, para segurança de todos os povos indígenas da região.
